Bianca Rae is the LA Press Club winning anchor of the 5 and 6 pm weekdays newscast at Spectrum News 1 in Los Angeles. She came to LA from Palm Springs, where she was the morning news anchor for KESQ News Channel 3, the #1 rated morning newscast in the Coachella Valley. Bianca has reported on everything from breaking news to red carpets. Her live coverage of the September 2014 flood that devastated parts of the Coachella Valley garnered her an Emmy nomination. Bianca covers stories that matter and make a difference. She also is the founder and CEO of the Bianca Rae Foundation, a non-profit serving children and animals.

Bianca was awarded the 416th star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars for her humanitarian work in the Coachella Valley and entire Inland Empire. She was chosen as one of Palm Springs Life’s ’40 Under 40′ most successful people in the Coachella Valley in 2014. CV Weekly named her one of 2016’s Top 12 Most Interesting and Influential Women of the Coachella Valley. She was also voted Best TV Personality in Palm Springs three times, by CV Weekly and by Coachella Valley Independent.

At just 24 years old, Bianca founded the Bianca Rae Foundation to be a voice for the voiceless: children and animals. It organizes annual leadership retreats for middle school boys and girls, focusing on self-esteem building, social media safety and anti-bullying. Bianca Rae Foundation also holds adoption events and funds transports of animals out of kill shelters.

Bianca is a member of the Junior League of Los Angeles and LA Women in Film.

A 2011 graduate of the University of Missouri, Bianca received a dual degree in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish as well as a minor in Sociology. She is a bilingual journalist who anchored and reported for KOMU-8, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri for three years. She also interned at KTLA, E! Entertainment and Fox Sports in Los Angeles.
